GOTCHA

Today is our gotcha day for Garrett. One year ago today, Garrett officially became ours!!!! After 5 days of uncertainly and many, many, many prayers----we signed all of the paperwork and went to the Cradle Home to pick up our little bundle of joy!!! That day seems just like yesterday. I was going through the day looking at the time and going back in time remembering what we were doing at that very minute.
To celebrate our gotcha day, we went out to dinner and then went to Target with the kids. The day we got Garrett we went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner.....not having a Cheesecake Factory here, we went to Outback instead. We had a wonderful dinner and Garrett thoroughly enjoyed a Grilled Cheese and Fries!!!
Happy Gotcha Day my beautiful boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Garrett

Today is Garrett's 1st birthday!!! It is amazing to think that 12 months have gone by. It seems like just yesterday that we were waiting on pins and needles to find out if we were going to bring our precious little boy home!!!!

We are getting ready for his birthday party right now. We will be having family and close friends over for a BBQ and cake!!! After cake, the little ones will be able to get in the pool to wash themselves clean!!! Pictures will follow!!!

Happy 4th of July

I hope you are having a fun filled 4th of July!!

We have hung out around the house today. I got up this morning and made potato salad and got some homemade ice cream going!!! Thanks to Greg and Laura, I bought an ice cream maker last night---I hope mine is as good as yours!!! We grilled out hot dogs and brauts for lunch. I just pulled some brownies out of the oven and we will have those with ice cream later.

I hope you will take a moment to stop today and think about those that you know who have helped fight for the freedom that we all have. Those people don't have to have fought in war to have made a difference!! I would like to take the time to thank...my dad, my brother (Chad), Joel's Gramps, Joel's dad, Jennifer, and Jason. Today we honor YOU!!! Thank you for fighting for what you believe in and for giving us the freedom that we are enjoying today!!!
