The Raining Season

A girl I went to high school with is the founder of The Raining Season. She and her husband adopted a beautiful girl from Sierra Leon, Africa. I have enjoyed watching their story unfold...what can we do to help save just 1 orphan???

Be sure to pause the music in the righthand sidebar!!! You don't want to miss this!!!

God is Good

Greg and Laura have their gorgeous little Anna with them. Their first night was rough, but they have another night under their belt and it was a good night. As I was reading Laura's most recent post, Anna was still asleep. The Lord heard all of our prayers and He answered them.

I ask that you continue to pray for Greg, Laura and Anna. They finally have their forever family together!!! I can't think of anyone more deserving than them!!!!

Made It

I just checked in on my great friends Greg and Laura. They have made it to Beijing and enjoyed their first dinner in China. Needless to say they are exhausted!! Please continue to pray that they will have safe travels on their in-country flights and that they are able to get well rested before they meet their beautiful Anna!!
A link to their website is located in the sidebar if you would like to follow them on their journey.

Finally

I am finally making a post!!! I think it has been about a month since my last post. I guess that must mean that there isn't anything exciting to report...until now!!!

We have been working with Garrett to use the big boy potty!!! Actually, my folks have really been working the hardest with him. I got a call from my mom that Garrett used the potty for #1 and #2!!!! YEA!!!! He has been peeing in the potty quite a bit and he has started going poop in the potty!! Joel and I got to witness it ourselves on Tuesday night, and then again last night!! This is soooo exciting!!! I guess my goal of having Garrett potty trained by Christmas could really become a reality!! I don't know what I will do when I don't have diapers to change anymore. In a way, I think I will be sad. It will mean that my little munchkins are growing up!!!

I am home with the kids today. I am enjoying listening to their laughter, talking, and the sounds of fun!!

I will keep you posted on the potty progress!!!
